Runaway Carolina is hiding out at Harmony Farm in 1964 trying to come to terms with the death of her father, mother and baby brother. She is holding her secrets close while the Harmonys patiently wait to hear her story. Then Russell, a troublemaker who lives in the foster home Carolina ran away from, secretly comes to Harmony Farm and Carolina thinks he is a friend. One night something so terrible happens that Carolina, desperate to stay, has no choice but to run away again.
