Kinsey takes on a missing persons case. There are all kinds of theories out there, but very few facts. The police had done a thorough job, and come up with nothing. But the man's ex-wife came to Kinsey, and, although the woman made her uneasy -- as did the fact that the current wife didn't -- she said she'd look into it. When she veers off from the prevailing theories, Kinsey finds herself in a dangerous shadowland, where duplicity and double-dealing are commonplace, and all that's on her side is a little thread of intuition to hang onto for dear life.
